It is our mission to provide opportunities for students to achieve their personal best, become responsible and productive citizens, and embrace lifelong learning in a safe and positive environment. We believe all children can learn and excel with developmentally appropriate materials, practices, and strategies. School is not just about children: it encompasses families, parents, community, stakeholders, society, the environment and beyond.

"Old Bags... Night Out"

“Old Bags – Night Out,” hosted by Boys Latin of Philadelphia Charter School, was at Neiman Marcus in King of Prussia, PA on Thursday, April 10, 2014. The event included a silent auction of gently used, donated bags and a fashion show curated by Ken Downing, the Neiman Marcus fashion director. He pulled together looks from various designers to showcase the latest styles and trends that will be gaining the most attention at this seasons' galas, cocktail parties and outings. According to Downing, pleats, long skirts, turquoise jewelry and culottes are the most happening items. Proceeds from the event went to the Boys Latin of Philadelphia, which gives a college prep education to underprivileged boys in the Philadelphia area. Marianne N. Dean and Barbara Barnhart, co-chairs of the “Old Bags” evening, honored Janine Yass, who co-founded the school with CEO of the school David P. Hardy in 2007. In the next few years, Janine hopes to start Girls Latin of Philadelphia.
