2013 Old Bags Luncheon®

It was handbag heaven for the 400 women who attended Crosstown Learning Center’s Old Bag Luncheon® on Monday, November 18th at Southern Hills Country Club. The event featured a silent auction with over 350 new or gently used handbags. The handbag selection became even more interesting when a beautiful gold metallic bag signed from Reese Witherspoon arrived on Friday before the event.

In addition to the handbag silent auction, guests were given the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets with a chance to win a “girlfriend friendly” raffle package and 100 lucky guests took a chance by purchasing mystery bags.

After the silent auction, Terry Hood from the News on 6 welcomed guests as they were treated to a delicious lunch prepared by the Southern Hills chef. The event ended on a humorous note with Connie Cronley, Glenda Silvey, and Teresa Miller reading excerpts from an off-Broadway production.
